The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has joined Nigerians in online banter after replying to a social media user who jokingly listed the agency’s Abuja headquarters for sale.
The joke was started by X user @osere_x, who posted a photo of the EFCC building and advertised it as a property listing.
“HOTEL AVAILABLE
Location: Abuja
Price – 800M
Agent fee – 120M
only serious buyers should DM”
The post quickly drew attention, but what pushed it further into viral territory was the EFCC’s response. The anti-graft agency, through its verified X account, replied in Pidgin:
“Hmmm…. You get mind o”
The unexpected comeback triggered widespread reactions, with many Nigerians describing it as a rare moment of humour from a government agency.
