Olakunle Oluomo, Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Oluomo was detained early on September 1 at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, on suspicion of offences that may have been considered financial crimes.
It was discovered that the Speaker was being interrogated while under the agency’s care.
Sun News reported that an EFCC source claimed he had received invitations on multiple occasions but had not accepted them.
