The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan zonal office, on Thursday said its operatives arrested 48 suspected Internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The suspects, mostly undergraduates between 18 and 28 years, were said to have been apprehended from various locations in the Alabata area of Abeokuta.
The acting Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC in the zone, Tony Orilade, stated that the suspects were arrested following intelligence reports on their alleged involvement in Internet-related crimes.

Among the suspects are Anwinilomo Tomisin, Ayeni Ifedapo, Melojuekun Oluwatobi, Adeyemo Stephen, Gideon Achuka, David Mulero, Owolabi Abraham, Toheeb Olabanji, Teslim Kasali, Jide Emmanuel and Alli Oluwaseun.
The list also includes Adeniyi Sultan, Ejiro Daniel, Chima Emmanuel, Adejare Oyebajo, Dike Chukwuebuka, Emeka Ikegbunam, Daniyi Tobiloba, Tomiwa Ibironke, Daniel Onnorom, Quadri Ayaniyi and Victor Solomon.
Others are Ayeni Oluwatosin, Adegbenro Emmanuel, Abdulrauf Adam, Daniel Praise, Biyi Adegbamigbe, Adeyinka Ibrahim, Sadiq Sanni and Ibikunle Ajibola.
