Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 6 Brigade, in collaboration with operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), have arrested two fake policemen in Taraba State for allegedly transporting cannabis.
Lt. Umar Muhammad, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations 6 Brigade, confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that the fake policemen were intercepted at Takum Junction in Wukari Local Government Area following credible intelligence.
According to him, the suspects, who wore mobile police uniforms, were caught with two Toyota Hilux vehicles loaded with substances suspected to be cannabis. One of the vehicles was abandoned after its occupants fled on sighting the troops.
