A drunk driver who killed a child and injured a woman in a hit-and-run was filmed breaking down as he was told the victims were his wife and son.
The man drove away from the scene of the accident after colliding with his wife’s electric scooter at night in Zibo, in the eastern Shandong province in China.
The driver, known only as Zhang, was filmed by police after being captured later that same night and brought to the hospital to see what he had done to his young family.
Emergency services rushed the pair to the hospital, but the boy died soon after.
Zhang’s wife remains in intensive care according to local police.
