Nigerian cleric and former singer Emmanuel Okose has addressed actress Doris Ogala amid her recent online dispute with clergyman Chris Okafor.
Doris had accused Pastor Okafor of breaking a marriage promise, claiming they had a private relationship in which he promised to marry her but later married someone else.
In an Instagram post, Emmanuel Okose questions Chris Okafor’s role in the situation, asking why Doris is attacking the pastor publicly. He wrote:
“Can someone please explain if Chris Okafor was the only man Doris has slept with? If he were an upcoming prophet, would she be this bitter? I am not defending him, but the hatred towards men of God online is alarming.”
Emmanuel Okose questions Chris Okafor further, questioning whether the controversy would exist if Okafor were less popular.
He also criticized the culture of social media attacks on religious leaders, adding that many people lack discernment and turn the internet into their “holy spirit.”
