Several people were injured after two passenger trains collided in Denmark on Thursday, according to emergency officials who spoke with Reuters.
The incident took place near Hillerød, just outside Copenhagen, on a route linking Hillerød to Kagerup, police said.
Confirming the crash, a spokesperson for the Greater Copenhagen fire department said: “It is two local trains that have collided head-on.”
The official added: “There are injuries among the passengers. Everyone is out of the trains, so no one is trapped… Large resources have been dispatched to the scene.”

Emergency teams, including police and fire crews, responded swiftly and evacuated all passengers from the trains.
Authorities have not released a confirmed casualty figure, but DR, citing police, reported that between five and 10 people were injured.
Investigations into the cause of the collision are ongoing.
