The Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has announced that he will host a single, large-scale wedding ceremony for nine of his children, five sons and four daughters, on the same day.
The event is scheduled for February 6, 2026, at the Central Mosque, Abuja, according to a general invitation circulated by Dan Jafaru Aleengoo Turakee.
Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara State, is married to four wives, Aisha, Balkisu, Fatima, and Dadiya. The planned ceremony is expected to draw dignitaries and well-wishers from across the country.
The invitation shared the date and venue, while follow-up wedding cards disclosed the names of some of the couples.

Among the confirmed couples are:
Hon. Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya, former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, who will marry Nana Bello Matawalle.
Ibrahim Sahabi Liman, who will wed Farida Bello Matawalle.
Yazid Shehu Dan Fulani, who is to marry Safiya Bello Matawalle.
Umar Ibrahim Danmaliki, who will marry Aisha Bello Matawalle.
The invitation described the event as a major family celebration, noting that the ceremony will “be a celebration of unity and family values.”
Details of the remaining five couples are yet to be released.
