Davido’s logistics manager, Israel Afeare, popularly known as Israel DMW, has announced the death of his father, Mr. Afeare Eric, at the age of 71.
Speaking in a telephone conversation on Friday, Israel confirmed that the incident in which Israel DMW loses father occurred on March 2 at a hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, after a brief illness.
The deceased, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police, was described by his son as a central figure in the family whose guidance and support held everyone together.
Reflecting on the loss, Israel said the moment Israel DMW loses father has been a painful experience for him and the entire family.

“It is sad losing my father at this time. We still need him with us, but God knows better,” he said.
He further described his late father as his pillar of strength and someone who played a key role in keeping the family united.
“He was my pillar of strength, and he was instrumental in making the family an indivisible unit,” he added.
The announcement that Israel DMW loses father has drawn sympathy from fans and followers who know him as a close associate and logistics manager to Afrobeats star Davido.
Mr. Afeare Eric is survived by two wives and eight children.
