Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has reacted to his loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards, expressing gratitude to his wife, Chioma, for standing by him during the moment.
Davido, who was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, admitted that the loss affected him deeply and initially made him unwilling to attend the Grammy after-party.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, the award-winning artiste revealed that Chioma encouraged him with reassuring words that helped lift his spirits and restore his confidence.
“I said, ‘Baby listen, we lost again, let’s not go.’ She said, ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.’ We outside. My ride or die. She dey my back, active geng,” Davido wrote.
Chioma, in a separate response, reaffirmed her support and belief in her husband, writing, “You already know that you’re the perfect one.”
