President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos for his much anticipated two-day visit.
The president is expected to commission some projects done by the Governor of Lagos, Akinwumi Ambode and also attend an annual colloquium to celebrate the 66th birthday of former governor of Lagos State and All Progressive Congress chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

It will be recalled that Ambode declared a public holiday to host the president, which has been highly criticised by many people across the nation.
This is just as the president was accused to have bought the award presented to him by Martin Luther King’s nephew, which has since been disowned by the foundation.
The award given to President Buhari of Nigeria was not given by The King Center, at the request of The King Center or by the children of #MLK and #CorettaScottKing. @MrFixNigeria

Nigerians have been reacting to the inconvenience of the president’s visit.
Lagos is already on lockdown just because our President is visiting us today… There should be other convenient ways of doing this…

What kind of President visits and instead of bringing joy, actually brings sadness, traffic gridlocks, economic loses and flight delays across the state. Is this how to make progress, is this change? tufiakwa

The President visiting any state shouldn’t be at the inconvenience of citizens. And were that to be so, it ought to be as minimal as possible. All these shutdowns reverse the essence of leadership!

“@OgbajeAlex: Here is the situation of things at CMS right now. I got here by 6:23am and I’ve been here for close to an hour. This is usually a less than a five minutes drive judging by the time I came. All because a president is visiting @Gidi_Traffic pic.twitter.com/oSlkENRspu
