At least 12 traders were killed and 50 others injured as two suicide bombers attacked a market in Muna garage in Maiduguri, Borno state on Wednesday.
The Civilian JTF operating in the area confirmed the incident to Channels Television, saying 48 persons were also injured during the attack.
The Commissioner of Police in the state is said to be on his way to the scene while the attack reportedly carried out by two male bombers.
Meanwhile, officials of humanitarian agencies, including that of the Red Cross Society have arrived at the scene to evacuate the remains of the deceased and treat the injured victims.
