Global music star Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter has entered the billionaire bracket after business magazine Forbes confirmed that her net worth has surpassed $1bn, making her the fifth musician to reach the milestone.
Forbes said the American singer now joins an exclusive list of wealthy musicians that includes Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and her husband, Jay-Z, whose fortune is estimated at $2.5bn.
The recognition follows years of sustained commercial success spanning music releases, record-breaking tours, film projects and lucrative brand partnerships.
Earlier this month, Forbes valued Beyoncé at $800m and projected that she would soon attain billionaire status. That forecast has now materialised, driven largely by several high-revenue ventures, including her 2023 Renaissance World Tour, which grossed close to $600m worldwide.
She also produced and distributed a concert film from the tour through a direct partnership with AMC Theatres, earning nearly half of the film’s $44m global box office takings. The tour marked her first solo outing in seven years.
In 2024, Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter, an album that explored the Black roots of country music. The project was widely acclaimed and earned her the Grammy Award for Album of the Year — a first in the category after four previous nominations.

Forbes estimates that the Cowboy Carter tour generated over $400m in ticket sales, alongside about $50m in merchandise revenue. The tour featured guest appearances from Jay-Z, two of their children and former Destiny’s Child members.
While the tour broke ticket records at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Paris’ Stade de France, some shows reportedly struggled with ticket sales, leading promoters to slash prices. Despite this, Beyoncé recorded the highest top-priced concert ticket in the UK in 2025 at £950, with the cheapest tickets selling for £71.
Her earnings were further boosted by a high-profile halftime performance during Netflix’s first Christmas Day NFL game, estimated at $50m, as well as $10m from a series of Levi’s commercials.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg has listed Selena Gomez among billionaire musicians with an estimated net worth of $1.3bn. However, Forbes has challenged that assessment, valuing Gomez at $700m.
