It is one day one drama at the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria reality show and the theme, Double Wahala, rightly explains the drama in two words. One of the contestants, Lolu, shares his street and sweat-breaking experience with a housemate, Rico Suave and it is quite an emotional one.
While sharing their experiences on life before the green pasture, Lolu recounted how he finds his way to Ikoyi daily from Journalists’ Village at Mowe, Ogun State just to make ends meet after the death of his mother and his 17 years-old sister to take care of.
“If you know where Journalists Village with just after Mountain of Fire along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway; that was where I lived with my 17 years old sister after the death of my mother, we had to stay a while with my mother’s friend there and I worked at Ikoyi.

“I was a PR agent to the likes of Tiwa Savage, Toke Makinwa, Beverly Naya among others… people always think because I work with big names it transcends to big pay, but I earned just N35,000.”
He explained that he met a lot of newsmakers during the period and he had a lot of bills to pay too.
“Sometimes, when I get back around past 10 at night, I would have to knock the gate because they are all asleep already. Sometimes, there will nothing to eat and I would just enjoy my garri.
“With my N35,000, I have to take care of my sister and also pay my school fees and then find my way to work every day.
“If you know that route, you’ll know just how big a deal it is to shuttle that link every day but that is what it was,” he told Rico.
