Two of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s children tied the knot in a grand double ceremony held at the National Mosque, Abuja, on Friday.
In a statement, Atiku Abubakar shared that his daughter, Hafsat, was given in marriage to Umar Farouk Imam by his close associate, General Aliyu Gusau. On the same day, his son, Abubakar Atiku Jnr, married Asma’u Abdul’aziz Nyako, with the bride presented by Atiku’s friend, Alhaji Kwairanga Jada.
The former vice president expressed immense joy at the occasion, noting that the celebrations would further strengthen family ties with prominent relations, including his older brother Admiral Murtala Nyako and friend Kashim Ibrahim Imam.

“I am thankful to all the guests who attended and supported to make this day a reality. I congratulate my children and their spouses and wish them a happy and successful married life,” Atiku said.
