ASUU Strike: FG to release N220bn within a month to universities

Following the agreement reached between the academic Staff union of Universities (ASUU) and federal government, about N220 billion would be released by the government to fund the revitalization of the federal institutions.

This agreement was reached in a 15 hour meeting in Abuja between the union’s representatives and Government officials led by the labour minister. The sum is expected to be paid not later than next month.
