Kingsley Moghalu, presidential candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2019 elections, says he is the best man for the job.
In a statement on Tuesday, Moghalu said Nigeria needs a visionary leader who would turn the fortunes of the country around and build a “real nation”.
He said the country cannot keep “recycling the same old politicians” who have held it captive for long and expect new ideas to be birthed.

Moghalu said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have nothing to offer Nigerians.
“I congratulate His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar, for emerging as the PDP flag bearer for the 2019 presidential elections,” the statement read.
“I must reinstate my position that Nigeria needs a generational shift in order for new visions and new ideas to be birthed. The birth of a new nation will not come about if we continue to elect the same old recycled politicians who have juggled power between themselves and held the progress of this country captive for so long.
“Nigeria needs a new visionary leader who has the capacity, character and competence to wage a decisive war against poverty, heal Nigeria of its wounds and build a real nation and restore Nigeria’s standing in the world. Neither the failing APC nor the previously failed PDP can provide this level of leadership for our people.

“It is time for Nigerians to be brave, rise up and vote for a prosperous future for themselves and their children come 2019. The 2019 presidential election is about the known past versus the possibility of a better future. The youths of today are the future and they must realize the power they posses in deciding our future.
“I am the man for the job and together we can and we will build a new nation.”
