In a surprising turn of events, Fuji legend K1 De Ultimate has officially reconciled with his former drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo, months after a public fallout that stirred widespread controversy.
The reconciliation comes as a shock to many, especially after Ayanlowo accused K1 of subjecting band members to harsh conditions. In a viral video, Ayanlowo claimed he had worked under K1 for 32 years yet “achieved nothing,” alleging that life in the band was marked by fear rather than the glamour fans often assumed.

He further alleged that band members were treated like “slaves,” stating that their passports were confiscated during international trips, restricting their freedom of movement. Ayanlowo also recounted an incident where he was allegedly denied urgent medical care while on his way to the hospital for a longstanding ulcer.

K1, however, firmly denied all allegations, describing them as “lies and misinformation.” He accused Ayanlowo of being ungrateful and attempting to tarnish a reputation built over decades. He also insisted that many former band members had become successful through the opportunities he provided.
Due to the seriousness of the accusations and the public tension that followed, traditional rulers and community leaders intervened, urging both parties to pursue peace.
Their efforts appear to have paid off. In a new video shared online, K1 can be seen warmly welcoming Ayanlowo back on stage, hailing him as he rejoins the band. A Facebook blogger has since described the moment as the “best reconciliation of 2025.”
