The Chairman and Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced cash incentives for Nigeria’s Super Eagles following their 2-0 victory over Algeria in the quarter-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
In a statement shared on Saturday via his official X handle, Rabiu congratulated the players for their impressive performance, describing the win as one that lifted the spirit of the nation.
“Congratulations to our Super Eagles players on a brilliant victory against Algeria. You have lifted the spirit of the nation, and we proudly cheer you on as you prepare for the semi-finals,” he wrote.

To motivate the team ahead of the semi-final clash, Rabiu pledged a bonus of $500,000 to the players should they secure victory, with an additional $50,000 promised for every goal scored in the match.
He further disclosed that if the Super Eagles go on to win the final, he would reward them with $1 million, alongside an extra $100,000 for each goal scored in the final encounter.
Urging the players to remain focused, the BUA boss encouraged them to continue making Nigerians proud as they progress in the tournament.
Nigeria booked their place in the semi-finals after defeating Algeria 2-0 at the Stade de Marrakech on Wednesday. The Super Eagles are now set to face host nation Morocco in the AFCON 2025 semi-final scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 9:00 p.m. at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
