AFCON 2025: CAF announces free e-visas for fans

Fans traveling to Morocco for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will now get electronic visas for free, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Friday. The offer is for fans from countries that usually need a visa to enter Morocco.

Electronic visas can be applied for through the YALLA app, which also handles Fan ID applications. Both documents are required to enter stadiums and official fan zones. CAF said the process is simple and secure.

“The Fan ID application and e-visa request are completed seamlessly within the YALLA app, making it faster and easier for fans to travel and access stadiums,” the statement said.

Once approved, fans can buy match tickets through the CAF ticketing platform. The tournament will run from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, across nine stadiums in six cities, with 24 teams competing. Morocco is hosting AFCON for the first time since 1988, bringing Africa’s biggest football festival back to North Africa.
