A Nigerian man has been left in shock after a woman he lodged with at a hotel in Abuja allegedly absconded with his car and other valuable belongings, in what has become another case of Abuja hotel date car theft.
The incident reportedly occurred on Thursday, February 5, at a hotel located in the Asokoro area of the Federal Capital Territory. The man and the lady, identified as Precious Chinyere, checked into the hotel for a short stay.
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the man later discovered that the woman had left the hotel room without informing him.
According to the victim, the lady allegedly made away with his car, mobile phones, laptop, and other personal items.
The development has added to growing concerns over Abuja hotel date car theft, especially involving unsuspecting individuals who meet partners casually.
The man immediately reported the matter to the police. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, said the case is under investigation and that efforts are ongoing to track down the suspect.
Police have assured the public that necessary steps are being taken to address the reported Abuja hotel date car theft and recover the stolen items.
