2026 ACE recruitment : How to apply for fast-track US secret service

The U.S. Secret Service has opened applications for its 2026 Accelerated Candidate Event (ACE), a fast-track recruitment programme designed to speed up the hiring process for qualified applicants interested in protective and investigative roles.

According to the agency, the initiative is aimed at reducing the overall hiring timeline by up to 120 days, allowing candidates to complete key stages of the selection process within a much shorter period.

The upcoming ACE event is scheduled to hold from May 14 to May 17, 2026, at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia, United States.

During the event, applicants will undergo multiple stages of assessment within one to four days, including the Special Agent Entrance Exam (SAEE), Physical Abilities Test (PAT), and mandatory interviews. These steps are usually conducted separately over a longer period in the standard recruitment process.

The agency said the programme is part of efforts to expand its workforce in response to growing operational and security demands.

Eligible roles under the ACE recruitment include Special Agents, Uniformed Division Officers, and specialised teams such as the Emergency Response Team, Counter Sniper Teams, and Canine Explosives Detection Units.

Applicants are required to meet strict eligibility standards, including physical fitness, background checks, and security clearance requirements. Interested candidates are expected to apply through the official U.S. Secret Service careers portal.

The Secret Service emphasised its core values of Duty, Justice, Courage, Honesty, and Loyalty, urging qualified applicants to take advantage of the accelerated hiring opportunity.
