Authorities have declared a man wanted after he was captured on CCTV stealing a staff member’s phone at a branch of United Bank for Africa (UBA) in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The incident, which reportedly occurred earlier this week, shows the suspect entering the bank and surreptitiously taking the device before leaving the premises.
The CCTV footage, which has gone viral on social media, has helped police identify the man.
Security officials and the police have urged anyone with information about the suspect’s whereabouts to come forward. The bank has also intensified surveillance across its branches to prevent similar incidents.
