Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, the Regional Leader of the Church of Christ in Nations, says the only solution to what he describes as genocide against Christians in Nigeria is the removal of Vice President Kashim Shettima.
He made the claim during an interview on The Morning Brief, on Channels Television programme.
Rev. Dachomo said the religious makeup of the nation’s leadership is harming Christians and insisted that Shettima must go.
“Shettima is a muslim, the president is a muslim. Is that not complete genocide to christians in the political world? The way forward is to remove Shettima and I stand on it,” he said.
He warned that those in power are pushing an Islamic agenda and urged Christians to stay alert.
“They are displaying Islamic agenda. They want to control the whole country. All Christians should wake up from their slumber and face the Bible because these people want to make every Christian to become Muslims by force,” he added.

Rev. Dachomo also raised concerns about security tensions, saying Christians should not remain silent in the face of perceived threats.
“We don’t to sit on it. We have seen it. Can you see this thing hanging? Look at how it’s moving towards Kwara. Can’t you see what’s happening? Did Kwara people kill their cow or do something? And they will paint it that it is reprisal,” he stated.
He concluded that Christians must act to protect their families and the nation from what he believes is a takeover attempt by Islamic extremists.
“We cannot continue to stay quiet because I can’t hand over my grandchildren to Islam. There’s an agenda of these Islamic terrorists to take over the country and the nation is sleeping and doesn’t want to use those who wants to help tackle this insecurity,” he said.
