Client data for JPMorgan Chase, Citi, and Morgan Stanley may have been exposed in a cyberattack on technology vendor SitusAMC, the New York Times reported Saturday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
SitusAMC, a New York-based vendor serving real estate lenders, confirmed on its website that it experienced a cyberattack on November 12, compromising some corporate documents tied to client dealings, including accounting records and legal contracts. “Data relating to some of our clients’ customers may also have been impacted,” the company said, without naming specific clients.

Michael Franco, SitusAMC’s CEO, told the NYT, “We remain focused on analysing any potentially affected data,” and added that the company had notified law enforcement.
FBI Director Kash Patel said authorities are “working closely with affected organisations and our partners to understand the extent of potential impact,” but emphasized that there has been no disruption to banking services.
SitusAMC noted that the incident has been contained, all services remain fully operational, and no encrypting malware was involved. JPMorgan Chase, Citi, and Morgan Stanley did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
