Nigerians have reacted to the bandits’ attack on Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Isegun, in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State saying, “This is a clear evidence of bandits attacking Christians.”
The incident, captured in a viral livestream, occurred during a programme held in preparation for the church’s night vigil.
According to witnesses, the attackers stormed the church mid-service, shooting sporadically before targeting worshippers.
An anonymous eyewitness, said, “The gunmen came into the church while people were gathered. They started shooting and three people died immediately. They later rounded up some worshippers, including the pastor, and marched them into the bush.”
The disturbing footage of Kwara bandits attack has sparked widespread condemnation, with many Nigerians lamenting that the country has lost its ability to protect its citizens.
Others described the scenes in the video as heartbreaking and deeply troubling.

Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele also reacted via her X page saying, “ Woke up to see a livestream video of people being attacked inside a church in Kwara. 😭😭 This is sad and disturbing. I wept seeing that old woman who couldn’t walk well running for safety.”
Another Popular Nigerian influencer, Enioluwa tweeted, “That livestream put it into reality for so many of us. The reality that it can happen to anyone. I am not special. You’re not special.

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo also reacted saying, “Seeing a livestream of people being attacked inside a church in Kwara.
“That elderly woman struggling to find safety… it tells you everything about where we are right now as a nation.
“These are human lives. Families, Futures. Dreams Real people.
“We need to step up our security measures and strategies.
“This can’t continue anywhere within our country.
