Wizkid once slept on my bed during ‘struggling days’, B-Red

Singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red and son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has shared a surprising story about Wizkid’s early years before he became one of Africa’s biggest music stars.

In a recent interview with Showroom, B-Red — who is also Davido’s cousin — recalled how the Essence crooner used to stay with him during his struggling days in the industry.

“Before Wizkid blew up, we used to sleep on my special bed. Sometimes I’d sleep in the parlour, and he’d sleep in the room,” B-Red revealed.

The revelation quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans online.
While some social media users accused B-Red of trying to take credit for Wizkid’s success, others praised both artistes for their humble beginnings and growth in the music scene.

B-Red, who started his music career as part of HKN Gang alongside Davido, Adewale Adeleke, Sina Rambo, and DeeKay, continues to celebrate the evolution of the Nigerian music industry and the success of artistes who “went through the process.”
