American rapper Nicki Minaj has commended President Donald Trump for designating Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” due to the alleged persecution of Christians.
In a post on X on Saturday, Nicki Minaj expressed gratitude for living in a nation where people can freely practice their religion, emphasizing that no one should be targeted for their faith.
She described the persecution of Christians in several parts of the world as a global crisis that demands attention, urging people to pray for victims and uphold mutual respect regardless of religious differences.
“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God,” she wrote. “No group should ever be persecuted for practising their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other. Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror, and it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice. Thank you to the President and his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”

Trump’s declaration followed reports of widespread attacks on Christians by radical Islamist groups in Nigeria, which he described as a growing threat to global Christianity.
He maintained that the United States “cannot stand by while such atrocities are happening,” calling for immediate investigations and policy actions to address the crisis.
