The 9th edition of the Luli Concert, organized by the Celestial Church of Christ, has come under fire after videos emerged online showing Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, in a deplorable state following the event.
The concert, widely known as a night of worship and praise, ended with the iconic venue littered with heaps of plastic bottles, disposable food packs, and other waste materials.
Footage shared by TikTok user @Meekysaxee captured the aftermath, sparking widespread debate about waste management and environmental accountability at large religious gatherings.

Many observers expressed disappointment, arguing that the negligence undermined the spiritual impact of the Luli Concert, which is otherwise hailed as a major Christian worship event that draws thousands of faithful.
Despite the concert’s reputation for uniting worshippers through music and prayer, the failure to promptly clean up left Tafawa Balewa Square in an unsightly condition. As of press time, organizers of the Luli Concert had yet to respond to the growing criticism or outline measures to address the environmental concerns.
