The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, has spoken openly about his fallout with the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, saying their differences can never be resolved.
In a video that has circulated widely, the Oluwo alleged that the Ooni played a role in his troubled marriage. He claimed the Ooni introduced a woman into his life who later became his wife, but the relationship ended in separation.
According to him, the woman lived with him for more than three years, had a child whose paternity he now questions, and even poisoned him on two occasions.

He further alleged that the Ooni continued to support the woman after their split, providing accommodation for her and the child. The Oluwo also said he once found the Ooni and his ex-wife together in a hotel.
“Can you forgive such? This fight is forever,” Oluwo said, stressing that his feud with the Ooni of Ife cannot be settled.
