‘I am alive and well’— Ebenezer Obey

Death rumour: Again, Ebenezer Obey speaks out, ‘I’m alive and well’

Veteran juju musician Ebenezer Obey has dismissed fresh rumours about his health, describing reports that he had died or suffered a stroke as “lies from the kingdom of darkness.”

In a video shared on Instagram, the music legend appeared alongside his two sons, joyfully singing to reassure fans of his wellbeing. He captioned the post: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”

Speaking in the clip, Obey explained that he had travelled to London for personal care and expressed frustration over the spread of false reports, some of which even circulated doctored images of coffins.

“Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself,” he clarified.

This is not the first time the 82-year-old music icon has faced such speculation. Similar rumours about his health circulated in 2020 and resurfaced earlier this year.

Once again, Ebenezer Obey alive and well serves as the reassuring message to his fans, as the celebrated juju star continues to enjoy life despite recurring rumours.
