PSquare’s singer Paul Okoye has declared that the band will never get back together.
Paul made it plain that his musical collaboration with his twin brother Peter Okoye is terminated during a recent early-morning Instagram live session.
Paul stated his dissatisfaction with the previous arrangement, believing that Peter was benefiting while he was doing all the work.
Paul mentioned this when he remarked, “And the new me eh, you see those days when Monkey dey work, Baboon dey chop, I no dey do am again. So I better dey work for myself only. Every time only me dey sing all the songs, I no dey do again.”
Many fans, who had hoped for a reunion, were stunned by his remarks.
Paul made it clear that he no longer wants to work for another person; instead, he feels that working in a partnership was unbalanced.
Paul has previously discussed their falling out, recounting how in December 2023 a committee supposedly had him and his elder brother, Jude Okoye, imprisoned. Paul did point out that he was exonerated of all charges following a careful inquiry.
In response to Paul’s assertions, Peter refuted having his twin brother taken into custody.
After learning that their older brother Jude had been transferring funds into a covert account he shared with his spouse, he made it clear that the petition he had filed was directed against Jude.
Peter clarified that he was never after Paul specifically, but he was disappointed that Paul chose to side with Jude rather than work with him to regain their position as the industry leaders.
To further deepen their breach, Peter also accused his twin of disdaining him, his family, and his beliefs.
