No timeline yet for Oronsaye report implementation – Gbajabiamila
It has been revealed that the schedule for the execution of the Steve Oronsaye Report has not yet been announced, according to President Bola Tinubu’s chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
At this point, it is clear that the Federal Government is taking a meticulous approach to the implementation of the report, ensuring that all details are carefully considered before moving forward.
Following an official visit to the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI) headquarters in Abuja, Gbajabiamila made this statement on Tuesday in an interview, refuting claims that the report was stalled.
This reassurance from the former Speaker of the House of Representatives is a positive sign, indicating that the government is committed to seeing the report through to its implementation.
Gbajabiamila emphasized that the Federal Government is ironing out all the details to guarantee a seamless implementation of the program, stating, “Oronsaye’s Report is being worked on… Yes, this has been on our minds for some months, but everything worthwhile deserves to be done right. It is more difficult than it seems.”
This acknowledgment of the complexity of the task at hand suggests that the government is approaching the implementation of the report with the seriousness and dedication it deserves.
A committee has been established to oversee the implementation of the report, a clear indication that progress is being made, even if a timeline has not yet been announced.
