Following the video release of the Senate President, Chief Goodswill Akpabio, on the statement he retracted before the adjournment of the senate ministerial screening.

He said, “In order to enable all of us to enjoy our holidays, a token has been sent to our various accounts by the clerk of the national assembly.”

Being alerted he was still live, he withdrew the statement and said he meant to say prayers will be sent to their mailbox instead. This has caused many Nigerians reacting.

Some are saying it is one of their many tactics to loot money. Others say it is irresponsible of the government to share money to senators when the country has become so economically choking and living standards unbearable; they label it ‘renewed shege’

Sarcastically, some also said the prayers should reach every Nigerians mailbox. In fact, some have started messing around that the new code in town is “send prayers to my mailbox”.
