Oil magnate, Femi Otedola has cleared air on rumours making the round that he is running for public office.
A video of billionaire Otedola in commercial bus, Molue, had some people saying it is a show to unleash a political ambition, but the Forte CEO has since debunked that rumour, saying he backs Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode, for second term.
Otedola said on his yet-to-be-verified Twitter handle that he is a man of the people and does not have any intention of running for public office.
But Nigerians as usual have since flooded his timeline to share their views
My attention has been drawn to a news piece where false information from a parody account was posted. I am a man of the people and I will always be on the side of the masses but I am stating clearly via this medium that I am not running for office.
