A fifty-year-old man named Dauda Ibrahim, who is from Idah in the Idah Local Government Area, has been detained by the police in Kogi state for allegedly kidnapping and killing his fifteen-year-old daughter Sherifah for ritual purposes.
The suspect, Idah, who is reportedly a member of staff at the Federal Polytechnic’s department of Works and Fire Services, is accused of conspiring to do the heinous act with two other individuals, Isah Adams and one Adah.
The late Sherifah was allegedly abducted on August 4, 2022, at their home in Okenya along Itayi Street in the Igalamela/Odolu Local Government area of the State, according to the allegation.

According to reports, the girl’s body was found mangled and with several important organs removed in a shallow grave a few days after she vanished.
The defendant and his accomplice are in custody, according to SP Williams Ayah, the state police command’s spokeswoman, who confirmed the arrest.
“The commissioner of Police, CP Edward Egbuka, has ordered for an investigation into the case of an alleged kidnap, killing and disappearance of body parts of a young lady identified as Miss Sherrifah, a fifteen-year-old girl in Idah by her father” he said
He stated that a comprehensive investigation would be conducted by the police to determine what exactly happened to cause the deceased’s kidnapping and death.
